Monday 11th - Tuesday 12th October, 2010, Horizon, Nottingham

Following the success of the UK eScience All Hands Meetings, we are pleased to announce the inaugural All Hands Meeting devoted to the Digital Economy.

This Digital Futures conference is a key event designed to encourage the development of the multi-disciplinary Digital Economy community. The emphasis of this two-day event will be on community building and discussion.

The event, with the overall theme of digital futures, will include Keynote speakers, talks from selected submissions, and posters. A day of workshops will follow the main conference.

Funded RCUK Digital Economy projects are also expected to produce a submission describing their activities. Submissions are also welcome from anyone in the UK research or industrial community whether funded by the Digital Economy Programme or not.

Paper submission:
Authors are invited to submit extended abstracts of unpublished, original work of not more than 3 pages in length. Submissions should be single spaced 10-point font on A4 pages and should be no more than 2 pages of text and (optionally) 1 page of figures and tables. Authors should submit their abstracts consistent with ACM publication format (http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates) as a PDF file.

Submissions can address any of the themes of the Digital Economy, and will be evaluated based on the potential for innovation and impact. Themes of the Digital Economy include, but are not limited to: Digital Inclusion; Quality of Life; Healthcare; Digital innovation; Culture and Creative Industries; Transport. Papers should be submitted at: http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=digitalfutures10

Workshops:
Proposals are also welcomed for co-located workshops to be held on the day following the paper presentations. Proposed workshops may address any theme within the Digital Economy, aiming to bring together interested parties to build community, generate funding proposals, or simply to further development of the theme.
