Rural Connective Workshops Commence

The first workshop of the Rural Connective begins Monday 11 June 2012 in St Agnes, Cornwall. In attendance from dot.rural will be Prof John Farrington and research fellows Drs David Beel, Elizabeth Tait and Leanne Townsend. You can watch the proceedings online.

The Rural Connective is a new initiative, a partnership between University College Falmouth, dot.rural (The Rural Digital Economy Research Hub) and BT. It is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

We are planning to hold four workshops with researchers, industry professionals and other stakeholders to explore how cultural and creative capital can be enhanced in rural communities through the availability of Superfast Broadband. It is envisaged that each workshop will connect people and ideas and will generate new collaborative research initiatives.
