dot.rural researchers will be participating in the Innovate with Aberdeen event on 19 June 2012 in Aberdeen. Some of Scotland’s most innovative Information and communication technology companies will converge on Aberdeen next week to learn more about how to access European funding resources at an event hosted by the University of Aberdeen and Scotland Europa. The Innovate with Aberdeen – A Funding Guide event will see representatives from Scottish Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) take part in round-table discussions on a broad range of funding related themes including Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and Innovation Vouchers.
Professor Claire Wallace, Vice-Principal for Knowledge and Research Exchange at the University of Aberdeen, said “The Innovate with Aberdeen Funding Guide is recognition of the importance of information and communication technologies in the local and national economy. We hope that companies will come along on 19 June to learn more about how to access funding for innovation from European and national sources. It will also be a great opportunity to network with the dot.rural project here in Aberdeen and with other companies active in the same sector.”
The event will take place between 3-7pm on June 19 at Aberdeen Football Club’s Pittodrie Stadium and there's still time to sign up for companies that work in the ICT sector or want to develop new products or services involving ICT.
